Aperture not updating photostream
I've googled, found I should be able to right click after selection and use 'sharing' to choose save to Photos--and that's essentially how i Pad works, more or less. I take a photo with the IPhone, wait until it appears in PHotostream on Mac, select, add to an album.
I find no "save image to Photos' or whatever in that list--I have it checked in extensions to do just that--I've powered off thinking that might add to my sharing list, but it won't--whether I right click or use the sharing icon (square with up arrow) at top right. That should assure it is on the device as it does on the i Pad.
Whether you have an i Pad 1, 2, or the newly released "new" i Pad, odds are you will eventually need to transfer photos from your i Pad to your computer.
I hope this is intelligible enough for someone to understand-it just seems as though my extension for sharing after I select 1 or multiple images in PHotostream to save to Photos/albums should be all I need to do. I have not checked in Apple forums yet so perhaps there are others having the same issue.

) with Mac by cable but don't see why you just can't use Photostream to transfer photos (I have i Phone and uploaded photos from camera SD card to my i Pad plus photos from IPhone/PHotostream) from my i Pad or i Phone photo streams to Mac and just make albums.

I transferred a lot of photos from my i Pad Air to my i Pad Pro and they then appear in my photo stream--but they are also in "Photos" on Mac--which I assumed was basically same as Camera Roll I DO NOT have i Cloud Photo Library checked on any device (i Phone 6s Plus, i Pad Pro 12.9", Macbook Pro 15"--IOS are 9.3.1 and Mac is El Capitan 10.11.3).
